Hello and welcome to my corner of the internet, Juniperfolk Designs. My name is Claire Palmer and I am a 25 year-old Northern Michigan native and website designer currently living in Traverse City, MI. I live in the most beautiful little neighborhood with my boyfriend, Ian, and love spending time with my friends and family while trying to appreciate each moment and have gratitude for the simple pleasures life has to offer. 

Background…

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Writing from Michigan State of University and have worked in the service industry as a server and bartender for the last decade of my life. Learning to understand rhetoric and design from my university and falling in love with communicating with people and providing a valuable service to them lead me into learning to build my own company.  

Branding and web design is a lot like gaining insight from your guest about what they are looking to drink and picking out the perfect glass of wine, pint of beer, or perfectly balanced cocktail for them. I do the same thing now with my clients, instead of bringing them a drink, I build them an aesthetic and powerful brand and website for their business. 

Why…

People have always been my strong suit and encouraging other humans to achieve their goals and dreams brings me more joy than I could ever describe within the words of this blog post. I live to be my clients personal hype girl and help them understand their brand, their business, and themselves. 

I even take it one step further.

It’s one accomplishment to have an aesthetic brand, but to implement your brand strategy and aesthetic into your website is my ultimate goal when I work with my clients.

As I finished college and searched for a way to make my mark on the world I had one concrete vision, “I wanted to help people and make a difference in someone’s life”. By helping creatives, small businesses, coaches, photographers, entrepreneurs, and so many more I feel as though I am on my way to achieving this goal.
